eShepherd™ is a solar powered, GPS enabled, livestock neckband that enables you to track, fence and move your livestock around your farm using virtual boundaries or fences. Simply draw your virtual fence anywhere on your property and your cattle are trained to remain within the virtual barrier. Gallagher approached us to assist them with the launch video for their highly anticipated eShepherd™ virtual fencing system.
The Strategy
The core idea behind the strategy for the video is 'Pushing Boundaries in Livestock Farming' – eShepherd™ represents a revolution in farming and a complete step change in the way farms are run in the 21st century. With the concept of 'fingertip farming,' farmers are empowered to achieve more with fewer resources, allowing them to efficiently manage their farms from the convenience of a mobile app or laptop.
The solution
Visual elements throughout the video include a timelapse of cows grazing within a virtual paddock, overlaid with heat maps that highlight real-time data monitoring. Simplified graphs, charts, and animal health stats integrate into app visuals, while overlays zoom in on individual livestock metrics, demonstrating how farmers can optimise resources and animal welfare from any location.
