Perched atop the Made development in Hamilton East, Reggie’s is the newest addition to the precinct's dining scene, offering some of the best riverside views in town. With an approachable, unfussy take on Italian dining, Reggie’s pairs friendly service with a beautiful space and great atmosphere. The brand strategy captures this balance perfectly, positioning Reggie’s as “chill enough for kids, nice enough for your hot date.” The result is a bold yet casual identity that’s high-quality yet playful. The primary wordmark is a custom script, featuring cheesy curves and saucy swashes that celebrate the charm of hand-painted signage often seen in classic Italian restaurants. The animated version, inspired by melting cheese, adds a fun and distinctive touch, reflecting the restaurant’s warm and laid-back vibe.
Design Details
The secondary wordmark is designed using Vocal Type’s Eva Peron, with subtle customisations for added character. Packed with character, it’s designed to deliver maximum visual impact, particularly on applications like pizza boxes. The Reggie's icon is a distinctive monogram, drawing on the bold initial from our primary mark to act as a shorthand brand identifier. The badge element serves as both a seal of quality and a nod to the Parmigiano Reggiano Consortium’s iconic grade selection mark, fire-branded onto cheese wheels. Additional brand elements include a gooey, cheesy, saucy swirl graphic and a dotted pattern inspired by the characteristic markings of Parmigiano Reggiano.
